The Virginia Classic: a premier event showcasing the best of the Northern Shenandoah's wine, food, and farms in charming downtown Strasburg, Virginia.

Join us April 5, 2025, from 3 to 7 PM in charming downtown Strasburg, Virginia for a grand tasting of regional wine and food, in support of Virginia agriculture. Enjoy wine-focused tastings of 16 selected wines from local farm wineries - accompanied by small bite pairings of local foods prepared by multi-award winning Executive Chef Christopher Carge.

While enjoying abundant wine tastings and food from local farms, guests can engage in conversations with local winemakers and farmers. Washington, D.C.’s first Master of Wine, Jay Youmans, leads a "Taste Like a Somm" presentation - offering professional wine tasting tips. While our Agricultural Liaison Allyson Ponn provided insights into the local food movement.

Executive Chef Carge is the recipient of multiple culinary awards, has been featured on the Food Network, and has served his food at the James Beard House in New York City. He is committed to the simple preparation of local, seasonal and sustainable ingredients. Executive Chef Carge is a partner with Hilton Head Island’s SERG Restaurant Group - operating 18 restaurants in South Carolina.

  • VIP Tasting Pass ($225 / ticket): Early entry at 2 PM with intimate winemaker meet-and-greets, special wine tastings, a VIP grazing board, plus the amenities of the Classic Tasting Pass.

  • Classic Tasting Pass ($150 / ticket): Entry at 3 PM, a grand tasting of 16 wines, small bites food pairings, "Taste like a Somm" seminar, winemaker and farmer discussions, and live musical entertainment.

A vintage car show, as well as historical demonstrations and talks are scheduled.

For those seeking a weekend away, Box Office Brewery will be hosting its annual festival ”Decades Dance” with a Vintage Western theme on the evening of Friday April 4th.
